Amotz tokatly aka dj amotz was born in jerusalem in 1979.since being exposed to electronic & world music in the mid 90' his life changed & found their cosmic course .
In 1999 amotz became a night life, electronic music & psy culture reporter & was one of the first few journalists in Israel that reviewed & wrote on regular base about the electronic scene in Israel & in the world .along the years he wrote & promoted our culture in radio shows , internet sites & newspapers( such as "maariv" –israel's second largest newspaper where he currently works as the head producer of the weekend edition ,"new-zeek magazine", "972","02" "assimon",101 fm.).
in 2006 amotz was asked to play at a friends party & since than he has been promoting music not just as a journalist but also as a dj.
As a down tempo dj, amotz is known for his long sets that can last 5 hours (and more..) that takes the listener to an inner journey. In his sets he combines his love to a veraiety of styles that are linked by a thin line of emotional, spacey & psychedelic deep hypnotic music. As a dance floor dj, amotz is always trying to merge & unify the past & the present in a mixture that is on one hand progressive ,tech & futureistic & yet always with the essence of the early goa days .again-emotion, melody & psychedelic are the key wards to his sets or as he calls it "psygressive".
Since he became a dj amotz had been playing in festival's, out door party's, clubs, underground party's & bar's. currently he lives in tel-aviv with his wife & 2 black cats.
